Launched in early May of this year, FreeCause’s new mall content management system, ShopCMS, hit an important early milestone by driving over $3 million dollars in sales for U.S. and international retailers in just it’s first 90 days in operation. The new software allows clients to build state-of-the-art online malls in less than an hour and feature popular shopping tools such as Deal of the Day promotions, Billboard Slideshows, and loyalty systems that award shoppers points or cash back.
Among the many features making this system unique in the marketplace, that ability for clients to build fully functional malls within social media environments (currently: Facebook, MySpace and Bebo) allows them to instantly monetize any existing applications they may have. In fact, the key to our system’s early success and high adoption rates has been the substantial existing userbase offered by social networks (sometimes numbered in the millions) as opposed to the “old” way of launching an online mall which is to launch and then drive customers there through expensive SEO tactics.
More to come!
