FreeCause, Inc announced the launch of the new MouseHunt Toolbar today. HitGrab Inc.’s MouseHunt, one of the most popular social gaming applications on Facebook, partnered with FreeCause to enhance the MouseHunt gaming experience by developing a customized browser toolbar application for MouseHunt players.
The MouseHunt Toolbar provides players the opportunity to check their gaming statistics, earn virtual currency – in this case – pieces of cheese, check network gaming statistics, and initiate the game playing process through the click of a button.
“The FreeCause technology has given us a tremendously powerful new way to engage our players,” said HitGrab Co-Founder Joel Auge. “This added engagement, coupled with the MouseHunt Toolbar’s integrated game controls and features make this application a must for all dedicated MouseHunt players.”
“The MouseHunt Toolbar illustrates the effectiveness of leveraging virtual currency to increase participation in turn-based games,” said Justin Holland, Chief Operating Officer of FreeCause. “The interactive components on the toolbar incentivize MouseHunt players to interact with MouseHunt for hours each day by securing valuable real estate on all players’ internet browsers.”
The MouseHunt Toolbar, which uses a Yahoo!-powered search feed, works with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox browsers. HitGrab’s MouseHunt joins Gaia Online as one of FreeCause’s premier online gaming clients. The MouseHunt Toolbar is available for download exclusively through the MouseHunt Facebook Application.
